Artist Statement
My primary purpose as a photographer is to evoke a mindful awareness that connects the viewer and the subjects of my photographs. As I capture the environment around me, I am struck by how it often encompasses seclusion, silence, and loneness of a distant, faraway land. I also strive to portray the consciousness that emerges from each of those areas and help bring to the viewer the same existential perspective of our place in the natural world, the togetherness and connectedness, and the beauty that is often forgotten in our everyday lives and in the constant pursuit of what is next.
